Located in the heart of Budapest’s Fifth District, a 260-square-meter (2,800-square-foot) former office space is currently being transformed. Revitalizing existing spaces is always a challenge, but one we embrace—especially when it involves converting a historic 19th-century property into a modern home. The original layout, once adapted for office use, was highly fragmented and impractical for residential living. To create a functional and welcoming environment for a large family, we completely reimagined the floor plan, removing all non-load-bearing interior walls and introducing new partitions to optimize spatial flow. Following several design proposals, the client enthusiastically embraced our contemporary vision, resulting in a modern, cohesive living space tailored to their needs.
